I get where you're coming from. Besides, does this fight really need to be debated with? Hercules has been in far worse situations than this and prevailed. Even before he fought Xena here, he got nailed with a gigantic boulder from behind and still defended himself from Spiros.
As you said, it's within plot terms that no one could ever overcome Hercules. IMO, his toughest opponents were arguably The Enforcers. I would've liked to see Xena do battle with either one.
dont be fools...hercyules fought with the most powerfull creatures in all movies and series...xena was foughting all the time warlords an callisto...hercules kiiled the king of the gods and the master of evil...he fought against his father and his best friend...and he won...thats why he is the best...he cannot lose from ANYONE!!!
Now I will speak following Xena Hercules lost that fight but it could have killed him but not succeeded in this struggle it fought to try to kill Hercules, and he not only wanted to defeat it not Matala Xena and Hercules very skilled but do not put up with all that she can never fight against him to kill, this happens very rarely post if it already quisese Ares was killed in a fight that both had a dagger and Herc pos blood doe on his neck but not killed, Herc and accept higher
@Manatsujeki First of all stating Hercules killing Zeus outshines the fact Xena killed the vast majority of other gods is a joke. Zeus absolutely floored Hercules with ease, Hercules just got lucky. Xena would have faced Zeus herself had she not been giving birth. Xena too kicked the crap out of Goddess Callisto and the difference is Hercules is half-god, Xena is a mortal and was able to accomplish the same, Hercules has an unfair advantage hence why Xena is naturally better.
@Manatsujeki LOL Eh no! Xena defeated them through skill. All the baptism did was give her the ability to kill gods meaning when she would strike the gods she could draw blood and kill as opposed to her sword swiping through them like they're transparent. She still defeated them through her incredible fighting ability. And using the greek mythology arguement is laughable seeing as Xena isn't mentioned in Greek mythology so you cannot compare the two based on that flawed statement.
There are fight scenes that I can compare that make Hercules outshine Xena, MOST NOTABLY when Hercules makes quick work of Goddess Callisto. But it's not needed. It wouldn't matter how many haxxed power ups or how much skill Xena obtained. She would NEVER defeat Hercules.
You want to compare feats? Hercules killed Zeus..lol. Xena's triumph over the other gods doesn't even compare. Zeus IS the MOST POWERFUL among them. Anything else you'd like to throw out there?
Again, I have to question your apparent knowledge on the series..lol. Skill? Xena's ability to kill gods was not acquired through skill. After Eve's baptism, it was bestowed upon her. She could keep the gift for as long as Eve managed to stay alive.
You're not grasping the fact that he's Hercules. In Greek mythology, which the series is based on, Hercules is renowned as the greatest hero. The plot revolves around him being unbeatable, no matter the adversary.
@Manatsujeki Yeah erm I cant be assed replying to that barrage of comments so I'l just do the one. As stated in my previous comments this was the Hercules series so of course Hercules would be the victor in the end. Had they known Xena would have been such a popular character to begin with they wouldn't have made her look so weak. Xena killed the large majority of the gods due to her incredible skill, Hercules did not. Based on Xena's previous fights she's EASILY superior to him.
And if there's to be any last notes on the situation, it's this. Xena was fighting to kill. Hercules was not and NEVER does, unless he fails to convert the person into having a change of heart. That's another contributing factor to the reason she got as far as she did.
I advise you not to be so bitter about her losing. Try and look at it from this point of view. She LOST to Hercules. Had it been anyone else, Xena would win. There was no shame in her losing.
