A lineup on the Sunset Center stage of most of the keyboard instruments used during the three week concert season of the 2008 Carmel Bach Festival, Carmel-by-the-sea, California:

They'd never allow me to play at one of these "festivals" because I am not authorized nor qualified: i.e I don't have any credentials from academia that confirms my ability to perform. Yet, I've composed a few pieces for piano AND can improvise preludes, fugues, suites, concerti, etc. Let's see one of these academic players try that. Paper musicians: take the book away and they can't play anything.

Well, yes, that would be nice. We must choose the keyboards based on the repertoire to be performed. But we have done very well this year to have David Breitman as guest soloist, which has enabled an expansion at the piano end of the spectrum.
