this looks like an awesome game except for one thing....killing alex mercer? cmon he was so badass in the original. maybe he'll team up with heller for some incredibly badass thing

As long as I do not have to kill Alex, then this game can't be that bad. True, most people grew a soft spot for Mercer, but having a new character and backstory might be good. Starting again as Mercer would mean that either:

A) His powers must be neutralized from the beginning because it'd be too easy starting with what we had at the end of Prototype.

B) Overpowered from the beginning

Teaming up with Mercer wouldn't be bad and I hope that's what happens in this game.

We Fans of Prototype arent mad cause of Heller or cause we are Racist, we are mad at the Producers that said Alex was already to powerful and thats why they make him the villain, for our taste, it was to soon to change the protagonist, for example on Infamous 2 they add more powerful stuff than Cole, why not doing that too on Prototype 2. The purpose of Prototype is Alex itself as an unique Prototype, and on this Prototype you have to kill him?, doesnt really make sense.

alex mercer was one of the worst characters ever. I'm really glad he won't be the main character, the whole way through the first game they're trying to make out like Mercer is some kind of hero when you spend half the game ripping innocent people to shreads.

The thing that makes me scratch my head is it has been 4 years in between games, and this one looks like an exact duplicate of prototype 1. This is not prototype 2, it prototype 1 2.0

This begs the question though. Let's say Heller somehow succeeds. He kills Mercer. To do THAT, he'll have to become the superior of Mercer. If he does THAT...then who's going to have to kill him?
