it looks like that the gravity pull from the planet venus causes enough pull to turn the comet, however, the distance is enough that the comet isnt tightly pulled, but it is tugged. this happens again as it passes past Mercury. Planetary gravity and trajectory are all effected. It's dependant upon many things, like I said, planetary gravity, the speed of the comet, the mass of the comet, solar weather. there are so many things to take into account. Trajectory is best guess considering variables.

gravity from the passing by planets can change the turn of the object. the simulation can not calculate the gravity of each planet.

@ZeroDimenZion and why then don't do it the same thing with the circular orbits of the planets LOL. Is not a verry good explenation :))

seriously, dude, that has to be the stupidest theory about elenin ever. it's just a simulation, and if you knew anything about mathematics you would know that computers can't project a perfect parabola, it's always made of infinite number of very small straight lines which are differed by a very small angle. just saying.

@kreeperzulu4 yep... That's just a real simple played out version of the orbit. I guess people don't see this, either... or... know much about science or the likes of it. Those angles are like dots, OK?! Those dots represent a place in space and time where that comet is predicted on being. That straight like from angle to angle... doesn't mean jack shit.
