@02cscott She said that she couldn't take the trophee because it's called "The trophee for the best english artist". She says that she ain't anglophone. She's a french artist who did an english album. She suggest that the title should be called "The trophee for the artist who did the best on the international plateform"(Something like that).

Vous comprenez rien ... elle a refusé le prix pour le symbole que cela représente, elle est fière de sa langue et elle le démontre en refusant ce prix . Ça n'a aucun rapport avec la définition de ce qu'est une ''artiste anglophone''.

She did not talk shit about english people, she explained that she is not to be called an "english" artist, and she is right about it ; the title does not define the award. Her idea was pretty good. She is a Quebecoise/french canadian singing in english, not an english artist. Two thumbs up for having the balls to decline the award.
