'Oh Sister', tema del dsko DESIRE, editado en 1976.

people tell me it's a sin
to know and feel too much within
i still believe she was my twin, but I lost the ring
she was born in spring, but I was born too late
blame it on a simple twist of fate... :(

  • If you want to get an idea how good Dylan actually is look up Simple Twist of Faith covers on YouTube. 99% of those people can sing better than Dylan can - yet none of them come close to his "version" of this song. Why? Because with Dylan there's meaning behind every word. It's all about meaning. Genuine meaning. This is his gift. I think that's why Johnny Cash did such great covers of songs. He truly did find his own meaning in those songs. That's why it sounds like he wrote them.

  • Time is an ocean, but it ends at the shore

You may not see me tomorrow

  • lighting in a botte

  • i love that this was at a time when sara had just left him, he was reeling, and poured it all into music, 'blood on the tracks' was cathartic.

and note the sweat on the forehead? he was getting into the drug scene again, drug'n and drinkin', teeth stained brown from endless packs of cigarettes.

    makes for captivating viewing.

  • @savedfaves hey if you want to hear one of the best Dylan covers of all time find Adele's version of 'make you feel my love" from Bob's album 'time out of mind'. it is available on i tunes as part of the chimes of freedom dylan covers compilation album.

    its very moving

  • This is the best version of this song that I've heard. Helluva song too.

  • @Carlosymx83 I agree. Bob has a perfect voice for Bob. Not pretty sounding but effective.

I love the blues growl he uses now.

  • The thing with the voice is something that baffles me. Personally, I think that the most important thing in music is creativity, songwriting and what the song conveys. I couldn´t care less about crooners and the like, it just bores me. Now if the musician or artist has a great voice plus what I esteem what is important, that is a very welcome plus.
