  • The intereting thing for me is seeing what people actually use fuels for in everyday life. THe majority of uses of fuel are not entirely necesary. Many people don't grow there own food and instead rely on supermarkets which make fuel transport more necessary. Think of everything that fuel is used for and ask is it really necessary for human being to remain alive. The answer is no

  • screw enviormentalist

  • the toyota hibrid yousis more gasoline than a bmw v8 its true

  • diesel+Bluetech=solution

  • I am physics

you want perpetual watch my video. You don't understand say so. because this doesn't know perpetual. You want a test hook it up to a city. You guys have no idea what hydrogen is doing, now your trying to take it out of water

  • It's good to know that there are so many options for people who are environmentally conscious.

  • It takes 1.29 gallons of gasoline to make one gallon of ethanol.

  • Hydrogen is only a source of energy if it can be taken in its pure form and reacted with another chemical, such as oxygen. But all the hydrogen on Earth, except that in hydrocarbons, has already been oxidized, so none of it is available as fuel. The only way to get free hydrogen on Earth is to make it. The trouble is that making hydrogen requires more energy than the hydrogen so produced can provide.

  • Ethanol - what a joke.

  • look up hydrogen fuel cell or water powered. there are poeple converting cars into Hydrogen burning fule celled cars. it is out there just look it up.

  • Interesting I have not thougth that would be a problem. bicycles are noiseless? everynotice how noisy the get if you stand in front of on. the say " get the fuck out of the way you idiot" cars can do the same thing. we can just program it into the horn!

  • Anything to reduce pollution is good. Hybrid is the first step towards pure electric car. One problem though, they are too quite and dangerous. Search for soundofmotion for more info.

  • aboxofjosh - agreed that public transit should definitely be improved. As for cost, it should come down soon. There are so many examples of technology starting expensive and then hitting mass market volumes with a large drop in costs. Let's hope.

  • Interesting stuff for sure, but it would be nicer if I could afford one. Or better yet, if we had better public transit so I wouldn't have to drive at all.

  • Cutting-edge EV batteries from China - example:

    http://www.everspring.net/product-battery.htm

These batteries are better, and cheaper than the ones in those $100,000+ sportscars. They are as cheap as lead-acid batteries, and they hold up for 1100 charges.

    http://www.milesautomotive.com/products_xs200.html

It's a Chinese electric car, which will be imported into the USA next year. The driving range is almost as good as those sports cars above. But it only costs $28500.
