1) Random crap about the yellow rat thing and team rocket.

2) finding legendary or rare pokemon in truble.

3) sometimes a battle scene

4) a masive adventure to get to the place their going

5) save the day with friendship

@oOaka47Oo Noone is claiming that the pokemon movies are going to win any Oscars, but that's not really what they're about. Consider how important pokemon is to an entire generation. People just want to see pokemon continue and have fun. Pokemon is arguably the most potent pop culture phenomenon of all time. Everyone who grew up in the 90's remembers it and 90's kids will carry their nostalgia to the grave.

@irvinTHegReat16 I believe it is Sinnoh, Zoroark was taken from the Unova region by Kodai, I believe that's what the film said. Someone can correct me if I am wrong.

In my opinion, the anime was never good to begin with (a lot of people think that pokemon "started getting worse with either the Johto, Hoenn or Sinnoh episodes) and was an overall shame to the mainstream RPG's.
