Bio Hazard Battle - "Hardest" Playthrough, Stage 7

Long stage is long.

You have no idea how lucky I was to only die twice at the end. Once you die, the few seconds where you can't shoot causes the screen to fill with so many enemies and bullets that dying again within seconds is almost inevitable.

Boss trick - hide in the bottom right corner, with a little dodging of certain red bubbles, you'll avoid 99% of the enemies while killing them. I hide there all the time when I play this level. Nice job not dying up to that point though.

So I've watched these videos but I can't figure out what the power-ups are supposed to do. The solid-colored balls affect your satellite's weapon, but the other ones don't seem to do anything. What's their purpose?

The "solid-colored balls" and "the other ones" are actually both the same thing. YouTube's framerate doesn't work well with flickering objects. The same thing happens with the aura that surrounds the ship while charging a shot - sometimes it appears, sometimes it doesn't.

If I collect a power-up and it doesn't do anything, it's because I already have that weapon at full power.

The music in this stage used to cause on me a feeling of very deep sorrow and sadness... maybe is for the design of the level showing us the remains of a world really gone wild by biological weapons.. or who knows :P

Oh man, I remember going from having only played this on normal as a kid to straight up hardest mode as an adult after years of not playing. Got to this stage and thought "Oooh, those sponges that are so fun to shoo-OH MY GOD why are they firing so much at me DIE DIE DIE!"

This stage was always one of my favorites. This one and the 6th. I liked the Heart Spiders... Though, back then, I didn't notice they were hearts!

Also, your score was EXACTLY 200000 at the end...!

I remember this game when I was a kid - I spent so long playing it. Both visually and aurally there isn't anything quite like it.

The first stage where you drop through the stratosphere with the pumping music in the background is a fond memory I had as a kid.

ive played this on maybe Normal difficulty and beaten it and it was still a challenge, this looks insane with those fast bullets

The boss is the swarm of swirly robots at the end, which are very difficult.

I like to think that this stages is the base where the plague was developed, which is what the warning signs are for.
