Mary Wilson Opening Reception

The Pauly Friedman Art Gallery at Misericordia University hosted a special opening reception of The Mary Wilson Supremes' Collection, in July 2011. Unveiled at the exhibit was more than 50 distinctive gowns the Motown hit makers wore during their climb to the top. Additionally, there was rare memorabilia on display that spanned their colorful career. This collection was last displayed in the Royal Albert Hall in London, England. Ms. Wilson also made a special appearance at the exhibit's opening reception followed by a speech in Lemmond Theater where she answered questions about the trio's musical legacy.

I would love to see one of these displays one day! As a fan from 1964 through the end, I love all of the lineups! It is only appropriate that Mary presents these beautiful gowns as she was the only Supreme present from start to finish!
