LaKisha Jones - The First Noel

This was taken from the 2008 MyTV Special 'The Spirit of Christmas', which aired on December 16th and 22nd.

LaKisha Jones first became known for her stirring renditions of powerful songs such as And I am Telling You and "This Ain't A Love Song". She is certainly staying true to the song as she is not going anywhere!

As a standout on American Idol season six, LaKisha Jones established herself as a multi-talented artist with a divinely crafted voice singing straight from the soul. She smoothly transitioned from this star-turning reality show to Broadway in 2007, co-starring in Oprah Winfreys The Color Purple.

After releasing her single 'So Glad I'm Me' in October, now the Flint, MI native has put the finishing touches on her debut album entitled "So Glad I'm Me", which will be in stores on February 17th 2009.

LaKishas freshman CD offering will feature R&B and Soul music with some Inspirational songs produced by Grammy Award winning producer Tony Nicholas, paying homage to her strong gospel roots and upbringing. For a relative musical new jack, LaKisha is working with some major heavy weights on her first project including Grammy Award winner, Tony Nicholas (Patti Labelle, Gerald Levert, Luther Vandross), Greg Curtis (Yolanda Adams, Keyshia Cole & Brandy), Sauce & Ro (Brandy & Neyo) and Chris Black (Yolanda Adams).
