With a 1.6L engine from a Toyota Corolla, possibly also a 1983. Bassically the same engine, with a larger displacement.
This is the last footage of the Tercel, and the 86 chevy thing. I'm really not attached to the 86 at all. It was fun, but i don't have years of awesome memories and fondness for it like i do the tercel.
I got the tercel for free from an awesome guy, pretty sure named Jeff. Him and his girlfriend had an 80's toyota pickuptruck camper that we always saw in this apartment complex's parkinglot. We thought the thing was awesome, so the the one day we left a note on the windshield saying that we didn't really have any money, and we knew that the guy probably didn't want to sell it or anything, and if he did want to sell it, it would be for way more then we could afford anyway, but just wanted to tell him it was awesome. and we love toyotas alot. I left my number and all, and it probably said some more stuff. then a few weeks, maybe a month later, the guy called me one night. He was confused, but laughed about it, and we talked for a while. Near the end of the conversation, i said, so, you don't happen to have any other toyotas that you want to get rid of for cheap or free do you? and then he told me about "Rat Car". An 83 tercel SR5 he had sitting up on cinderblocks behind his parents shed that he was planing on scraping that spring. But, the inside was totally covered with mouse piss and shit. (not half as bad as the monte) And he kept going off on how hilarious it was that it was an sr5, with the big aluminum rims, lumbar support, tach, sunroof, a few other things too i don't remember. He had got it for cheap when his main car broke one time and was getting fixed. he was going to drive it for just a few weeks or so till he got that car back. But "Rat Car" (nothing to do with the mouse poop) out lived his main car, and i believe 2 more cars after that. :) it just couldn't be killed. And then he had new tires on it, so when he put it behind the shed for 6 years or so, he put it up on blocks to keep the tires good.
So i got the car, put it in my name, and drove it on the road for a while. it was amazing. it was so much fun you didn't even notice the smell. Just an amazing vehicle toyota created there. even though its kinda ugly, its just so perfect... :) incredible gas mileage, even with the larger engine i got 30 MPG when i checked it. It was pretty fucking quick too. handled amazingly.
A few months after i got the car, i was watching some old video footage i took when i was pumping gas at the local gas station, in probably 2001 or 2002, and i was filming customers as i went up to their cars, i went up to a car, and the guy stuck his face out the window and made a funny face type thing. then i saw on the sticker on the window on the side of the car, and then the SR5 logo down on the body trim. IT WAS RAT CAR, and jeff. :) awesome.
Anyway, this was one of the more sad vehicles to leave. I'm not really ok with it.
Also in the video the 86 doesn't have any oil in it, and we were hoping to blow it up or something, but the stupid fuel problem it always had would only let it rev up for a second or so... Stupid. Then near the end it kinda stalls, and we just don't start it again. it didn't lock up or anything. Was a fun truck though.
did you guys save the tires off that C20 or something? I noticed drew undoing the lug nuts in the video.
That was crazy it had no oil and ran that long haha,

@91CTD
I think drew saved them. He must have done something with them though, they aren't around anymore.
It was barely running, i think that helped. It didn't seize up at the end or anything, Just stalled because its a piece of shit :)
