Playing a blank hard game can be troublesome! The quest for save points can get rather out of hand at times, and especially nervewracking as you get lower and lower on health. One definitely has to be careful in situations like this. They're not playing around!

@tr3vis123 There are way too many weapons in the game for me to want to demonstrate each and every one of them. I will show some of the more unique ones though.

You really should try the other weapons for better attack range, even if you lose a few points of damage, it is better if you can at least not get hit.

Oh, one more thing, Roahm. The Kaiser Knuckle is an early game Crissagirm, and if you have played Smyphony of the Night, I don't need to tell you what kind of havoc that weapon can do to enemies, despite not being the strongest sword in terms of basic attack power. The Kaiser Knuckle, despite its classification as a fist weapon, actually has a good range, more than the knives, at any rate...

Also, you can dodge the evil butcher's knives and the zombie officier's sword stab by ducking.

The Kaiser Knuckle actually isn't that bad a weapon. It has decent range, (Which you were having trouble at this point. and insane speed of strikes. I forget if you can keep moving with it but the fact that it was a hidden weapon should show that it has a little more power then you gave it credit for.

um...you know you can spam fist weapons like crazy right, resulting in killing enemies quicker, in SotN I beat the first boss by punching the crap out of them

@HeyWheresKel I remember watching a show (takes place sometime after the Civil War) once where their was an exchange of dialogue that may/may not prove it's just bad. When one character (a poor, street kid about 10) was caught after he stole something, he explained why he "had" to steal.

Kid: Well, see, I'm a bastard.

Man: Now what kind of talk is that?

Kid: Well, it means you have no folks.

Man: I know what the word means, I don't like it.

@CountryAngel100 Maverick sword does sound a little cooler.

And in a societal context, I suppose you could say "bastard" is a bad word. I'm no sociologist, but I think it makes sense to say "bastard" used to exclusively mean an illegitimate child, but as said bastards were likely insulted for their illegitimacy, the word itself became more generalized over the years to include other less genuine contexts. Same with vulgarities like "bitch" or "gay".
