  • background is screwed up

  • Actually, it's about where I want it. There are several things I'm looking for when I align the 2 video sources. I'm looking to make sure that the 2 clips are aligned vertically when the camera is horizontal, and I'm also looking to make sure that the red/cyan fringing is minimal for the CLOSEST thing in the scene. I'm not a fan of having elements in the scene STICK OUT at the viewer. This sounds fantastic in theory, but in practice it makes the eyes go cross eyed and they eventually hurt.

  • Besides, then the effect is lost on most of the viewers. The trick is never to have the subject approach the camera - which is why I'm indicating for her not to get too close in the camcorder. The DOF needs to be limited if possible to reduce eye strain. The real problem is that youtube is butchering the video I submitted.

  • Your 3d anaglyph need work!

Try to put the red ghosting a little to the right of the focal point (person or thing of interest) in the video.

Do not create to much ghosting in your video, it will strain the eyes!

And last thing, use a tripod when you can. I have been working with 3d photos and videos for about 4 years now, trying to understand what are the best colors and the best light to use!

    Hope this help a little!!!!!

    Keep up the good work!!!

  • Very interesting. What software do you use to combine the two video sources? I use a tripod for all my latest work. Did you settle on greyscale, color, or optimized color anaglyphs? What lighting angles are best for outdoor/indoor work?

  • good video, it is odd how the 3-D effect adds amazing depth while being extremely flat at the same time.

  • Correct! Anaglyph's 3D effects are highlighted in areas of high contrast. The road and grass do not have high contrast, but the stick, light pole, and head lights, etc. do. As a result, just the high contrast items appear to be at the right distance giving it at odd appearance. A two complete images that your brain recieves are in color - and much higher in resolution - so it has more to work with, and can sort out the slight contrast differences between them for most elements in the scene.

  • it seems I'm just there...thanks, but why there's no sound ?

  • that´s creepy

  • What software do you use?

1)I use the free ver: of Stereo Movie Maker 0.93, I wish they would upgrade it someday.

Did you settle on greyscale, color, or optimized color anaglyph's?

3)It depends on the colors of the object(s) in photo or video?

3a) Red, white, and Blue can be hard to do in full color, and a few others. What lighting angles are best for outdoor/indoor work?

    4) Depends on what you are trying video and time of day out side and camera setting inside, not always easy!!
