During the campaign Obama said he'd go after Bin Laden in Pakistan even without their permission. McCain freaked out, Romney was uncomfortable with the idea and Palin criticized Obama for his statement repeatedly. It was a tough call- failure would have destroyed Democrats on the issue of fighting terrorists for years- Republicans would have exploited it. But it was a success and Obama has every right to use it as a campaign issue.
