How To Record What You Hear

This is for those interested in Monitor Recording which is basically recording whatever is playing. I use a M-AUDIO Audiophile 2496 for my recordings but the process is the same with any sound card. I am using Adobe Audition on this video but most recording programs are capable of monitor recording. You can use this process to capture sound from anywhere, If it plays on your computer, you can record it!

Audition is not free, you can get a 30-day trial version from adobe-dot-com but you'll As an alternative you can get Audacity which is free and can do a lot of things Audition can.

You lost me at step one. In "audio hardware setup" when i click on the drop down menu for "audio driver" the only option that's available is "Audition 3.0 Windows Sound".

All of these fuzzy, out-of-focus screens - aaaargh! You need to realize that when the first thing you have is to tell us to go to EDIT, and you don't say WHERE you are to start, that is not helping anyone!
