From the grind marks on the springs, it looks to me like the clutch hydraulics weren't adjusted properly and the fingers were hitting the springs which caused the broken finger. Installation error.

that is so weird. i've been hearing bout act failures on tuners but I went through 2 act clutches about 80k 2 cars combine and i have never had a failure (knock on wood) i'm on the third one right now about 6k miles. both clutches are the lower model one 2100 or whatever.
has anyone ever suspect that since their are fake hks bov's out there that their might be fake act's also?
how do you guys drive??? just curious.

jjrock5 let us know how they treat you as far as customer service and the outcome of this situation would be nice to know as well. Threads are out there about this but to my knowledge ACT has not taken credit. Keep us posted.

Yeah... uh... I'd have totally used my snap-on electric impact if I could have pulled the transmission off first. But now you'll have to wait until I shred my next clutch. Because I totally have one.
