Danny La Rue

Danny La Rue passed away 31/05/09. He will be sorely missed by everyone who met him. Danny La Rue was the biggest, and highest paid star in the U.K. His caricatures of the female legends he portrayed are spectacular. No other performer has ever reached the heights Dan did. If you were to meet him he would treat you as the star. I was fortunate to have seen him loads of times over the years and met him loads too. Goodnight my mate and sleep well. He was taken care of by Anne Galbraith who made a great deal of his stunning gowns. I know some people do not like Barrymore but he too was supremely funny in his heyday and should be back on the box.

dan and mike were very good friends as i am and was with them both you really have to split the act from the person you don't think dan went around in a frock all day do you?nor does mike go around being a comic its all part of the act

im glad someone took care of dan when he was over in spain i know chris he is very much out of the picture now,i miss dan loads as well i knew him for over 30 years

annie came along at the end of the 70's and there was nothing wrong with the frocks she made don't forget it was going in from the 70's to 80's and fashions change
