Marissa did die in season three.

This is just a dream episode. Taylor and Ryan fall off the roof putting Christmas lights up and end up in a coma/dream like state together. In the dream world they think Marissa is alive but when Ryan goes to the airport to see her, it's actually Kaitlin. Marissa still died, except she overdosed in Tijuana.

Hopefully this makes sense.

i love the fact that ryan would have given up everything just for her to be alive. she wouldn't even know him but it wouldn't matter.

they should've ended it at season 3 .. make her go to her dad then put a flash forward to a year forward where she is back and they are all happy and getting married to each other that would've been a great ending + mischa would have gotten out like she wanted and the oc would have had a great ending .

How can someone like Ryan and Taylor after this? He basically chooses Marissa over her, and he's even willing to sacrifice the Cohen family as well just to be with Marissa again.

i can't believe the cohens are broken up. they symbolize a perfect family, now its over....... as much as i love seeing more of summer/seth moments, i think they should have finish the series after high school, with a living marissa. (i totally stop watching after marissa died. the only thing i watch from season 4 is seth and summer's wedding)

Poor Taylor. Guess she was the only girl in whole The O.C. show who really loved Ryan, because after listening this from him, she still accepts his feelings after.
