A mentor and a father figure to Rocky, his dying words were (to Balboa) "I love ya, kid." In rocky III, Rocky told Mickey that the fight ended in the second round by knockout, but Mickey believed that it was Rocky who won.

damn..this song is so incredible....im never gonna forget the scene with mickey and rockey training...when mickey gives rocky marcianos cuff link to rocky...it makes me tear up so much...especially the speech that mick says...just pure poetry...rest in peace mick...you were incredible!

Such a sad, beautiful piece all the way through and then at 3:35 when the mood changes it just reminds you that you are in a fight and it swells my chest every time. Like if you know what I'm talking about.
Same goes for the whole Rocky Balboa (Best of) album, every time a sad track comes along you know that the next one is gonna electrify you and...
... you become Rocky in the morning when he is starting his first proper training session.

Thank you for this lovely song friend!! But i think in Rocky III Mickey knows that Rocky has lost the fight. See carefully how mickey looks at Rocky before leaving it's breath.
