Core 'ngrato is a Neapolitan song written in 1911 by emigration Neapolitan Alessandro Sisca (called Cordiferro), grew up in New York. It was later set to music by Salvatore Cardillo.
Initially, neither had the intention of achieving a great success, even Cardillo her as a "scraps." Landed at Naples, Core 'ngrato was instead a great grip on public and became the first Neapolitan song of success coming from America.

  • All tenors wish they had this voice! He is not young here but still GREAT!

  • Sorry guys, but after having heard Stracciari, Schipa, Di Stefano and others sing this, I don't like this at all. Wobble, occasional tremolo, vowels aren't clear, no chiaroscuro (just oscuro) and it sounds all forced and constricted. Stone me if you like, but that's it.

  • @theconfusedsinger

He does a good job but this is not difficult for a pianist for this aria. Giacomini sings it in a way that is amazing even amongst good tenors!

  • Enorme el maestro Giacomini ¡¡¡

  • He was wonderful when he was on the roster of the Met Opera House in NYC.

This is a good performance of the song sung with alot of feeling and emotion.

  • Fantastic.

  • io voglio capire come fa con una voce così grande a salire tranquillamente su note molto alte...

  • @gojirason MDM and Corelli both used the lowered larynx technique. MDM was quoted that neopolitin songs should be sung in a loud voice because of the way they are sung in the street. 3 different personalities.

  • Nobody mentions the pianist... he deserves some credit too. He is damn good! Very expressive!
