Yeah... I'm gonna take wine buying advice from a guy that says "for under 10 bones"

I like how he spits the first Pinot not because he was already going to anyway but because it was just THAT bad lol. You can hear a little extra oomph in his spit.

If you're looking for a great Pinot Noir, you should probably wait until you're at least at a $25 price point. That said, in the area of $10-$12, I've found the Romanians make some very good Pinot Noirs, comparable to Bourgogne wines of double the price. It's always going to be a bit of a hit-and-miss though...I've found even wine from the same vinyard can change drastically depending on the vintage.

I find Pinot Noir way too frustrating. And when you do find a decent one, I still prefer to drink something with a lot more body and colour. Wineries in the Niagara Peninsula seem to have staked their reputations on it, but most is way overpriced and has a thin, bland finish. I'd rather have an inky Baco any day.

I've been drinking $8USD Aussie Syrah for years....it's probably the best deal at safeway.

No true California cheapies. I find that most 'entry level' Cali pinots tend to be so big & rich that it overwhelms the beauty & finesse that is pinot. A glass can be tasty but more than one can be too much. Almost like a super hot-weather, bomby zin-style.
Italy is spotty with pinot no matter what. Vin d'pays also but my first magical PN experience was a simple country wine..of course, made by Frederic Brochet makes a bit of difference ; ) Now THAT was freakin' ENCHANTING!

@blacklable1960 I've had that numerous times. It is a decent cheap Pinot. My favorite budget pinot is Mirassou pinot noir.
Avoid Gallo Family Pinot Noir. It was dirt cheap and I could easily see why. It was if someone took an already inferior Pinot and heavily diluted with bad city water. It's almost pink in color and had no real body or kick to speak of; not from any fruit nor even the alcohol. If I wasn't an alcoholic, I would have pitched the stuff immediately.
Surprisingly, Berenger makes a totally decent Pinot Noir for about $5. I was pleasantly surprised by how fair it was. Not bad for the price.

Worst wine under $10? Unless blended, anything from Turning Leaf is terrible, nay undrinkable.
