  • 30% of bouncy rate...

  • Very astute. Most of our clients maintain their own sites via our CMS and sometimes do some things that are outside of our recommendations. (shocker) We have other clients as low as 12% home page bounce rate, and we are working with this client to improve theirs but since this is an event site and events are listed right on the home page I doubt we will ever get that low. It does fall below Avinash Kaushik's quoted 40-60% average. We are still trying to talk them into some A/B testing.

  • macs don't get viruses because virus coders know that they are the minority. if someone wanted to write a horribly devastating virus/worm for the mac OS i'm sure they could with enough effort. the fact that they don't doesn't mean they can't. they just don't give a shit about macs.

    end of debate.

  • Mac users always respond to critical facts with personal attacks towards the individual making a clear argument about how the Mac-obsessed culture is...obsessed.

  • That response paints you in a much better light then the first. The screen reflects ONE of the hundreds we track, not all. The hundreds comment simply clarified for thestonerboys, that the sites we measure are normal everyday sites, and exclude tech, web dev, etc as stated. This gives a measurement of what normal people use. BTW, I'm not sure you realize, this was a parody of the hilariously inaccurate mac & pc ads that were flying around at the time. I don't profess to be a master of stats.

  • You don't appear to have a point. Your comment is built around what you believe to be an insult, as if I was not aware I am overweight. This in no way change's what is clearly depicted in the stats. lol.

  • LOL!

  • You seriously have made no substantiated, coherent, or rational point. A) This was a fun video to rebuff the silly Mac adds that are clearly not 100% truth. B) Most comments have included personal attacks which speaks volumes for the people posting, I try to stick to facts. C) I don't hate Mac's and I have repeatedly made that clear. I do have disdain for Mac Elitism. D) We thought the Pirate vid (on talk like a pirate day) was going to get way more hits. This vid was just thrown in.

  • LOL. You seriously make this too easy.

  • Apparently you choose to skip the part about this being just one example of the hundreds we watch which I admitted to. It would seem also you have chosen to look past the fact that this is a fair representation and it does not markedly increase. Further you look past my admission that in select demographic cases it goes higher. In short, it seems you are only concerned with stating things I already know and have stated. No, I wouldn't be surprise, I have been doing this for over 12 years.

  • "...no I don't care about ONE unique example" yet your video is just that, lulz. If you want to know how high OSX browser share can get on a specific site category (you'd be surprised) the data is available from IDC, Alexa, and others.

  • As mentioned before, this is ONE of hundreds of our clients. I did not cherry pick. This is a fair representation of Mac traffic across the clients we represent which are a mix of everyday sites. It does go a bit higher on very specific sites, but not much higher. If you have proof to the contrary please feel free to point to a reputable source and no I don't care about ONE unique example. Nay saying is not evidence.
