@kellerbier2 did you watch the highlights of th us open 2007 on you tube? if you have, watch it again, if you haven´t, watch it carefully..he hit´s some good penetrating ball´s.

@extradutyfelt1 His backhand did get better when he worked with jimmy connors a little while ago, he shortened the stroke and gripped the racquet a little closer to the neck, giving him more accuracy overall. But in professional tennis terms "he doesnt have a backhand", ive watched almost all of roddicks matches since 2003 and ive never said even once after a match was over "man his backhand was good". To see a 2 handed offensive backhand, please see djokovic, murray, del potro.

@kellerbier2 I disagree, his backhand, has become a lot more offensive and penetrating, even more so than his forehand at times, he hit´s a good backhand.. it might have been a more average shot in the past, but his backhand has never been terrible, like a lot of people, (including yourself) say, I mean no disrespect, but watch federer vs roddick us open 2007 and some other of his matches and you will see a good example of his offensive backhand.

@DanTitanium Thats the crazy part, roddick has been in the top 10 since 2003 when he won the US open. he's fun to watch, he's all serve, forehand, and speed on the court, but in tennis terms he doesnt have a backhand because his backhand is a defensive shot instead of an offensive shot as he cannot drive it though the court, it sort of hangs up slightly, for players to tee off on, plus he tends to hit it more in the middle of the court than other players with good backhands.
