If you study cultural anthropology, then ofcourse you'll have TOO much time, and you'll complain about stupid books you never learn. Such colleges are too easy. If you take a student that's studying to be a mechanical engineer, you think he's the same? He'll read every book, work more than twice as hard each day, will have less free time, and actully listen in their class. Our system isn't perfect, but it's the best we got. College isn't all about studying, it's to become independent.

As a current college student, I am extremely jealous of the kid that sleeps 7 1/2 hours a night. Try living on 3 1/2.

good job Michael. Whether some point out various aspects of what the students wrote, it is still nevertheless, facts about what they do. Now, how to correct some things, is another lesson to be taught by those who recognize the problems.

By 'introjection' I meant learning by rote. And , last time I checked, nobody has to force the banality of everyday life on anyone--it's always there, buzzing like an Iowa cornfield on an August day. It's a No-Fault thingee.
Actually, I was just winging it and sorta kidding around. But I do really have faith in young people--AKA 'yoots'--because they are always two steps ahead of most teachers but in the healthiest of ways.
