This is my first paid production video I created. I was hired by the owner of Senna Tree Company to make a short video that they could show at a trade show. I made several versions, but the two that came out the best were this one and other with a U2 song, I hope you enjoy them. The Pico Canyon Oak dubbed "Old Glory" by "no growth" advocates has been successfully moved approximately ¼ mile from it's old home.

  • Lets not forget that this tree would have been torched when the brushfires went through a little ways back had it been in its orginal spot.

  • Awesome job Greg!! Perfect song and great editing. I love it!! ~Colleen~

  • Thanks! Glad you liked it. I've been thinking about making a new version of it with some current footage of what the tree looks like now.

  • How did the oak make it at its new place?

  • I was one of the first ones in when our security company Maxwell Security was hired to work in coordination with the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department to take over the property as private property. We extracted John Quigley from that tree.....what an awesome expierience that was.

  • then rise up

  • True words... so true. Money speaks, the developers have that... so they throw us a bone and we are content with it. Not necessarily right... we have become accustomed to being trod on.

  • people put up with it because they've accepted their way as the only way- when that happens people accept it as normal

  • I hate what happens here to all the Oak trees, but money talks and we put up with the concessions that we can get. Sucks!!!

  • yah much better then letting it live where it was supposed to and having better planning-

  • I think that's a wonderful idea... especially because it'll showcase that the tree is alive and thriving.
