Getting your television channels up and running in MediaPortal can be a pain, but this comprehensive guide covers the spectrum from Over The Air and Cable signals to using an external set top box with Satellite.

  • @MrMecrob1 lol XD

  • useless yes i show that you can tune but not hnow to tune the tv cards

  • It's a shame that MP is a bit unstable. It's got some good features.

  • @Chhum1985 funny thing about that is this video was reocrded 2 years ago lol

  • Wow. Looks good. I downloaded and tried it about 2 years ago and it didn't look like this. Guess I'll give it another shot after seeing this.

  • You need a TV tuner to receive proper TV signals, no way of getting around it I'm afraid. You can get pretty cheap USB TV tuner off ebay if that helps.

  • Do I HAVE to have a tv tuner card or can i just do it on my netbook?

  • how do you scan channles im lost

  • I tried Media Portal a couple of years ago and it was the TV tuning that let it down. The timeshifting, FF/REWing, TV guide etc were all very clunky and unstable and the support for TV systems outside the US was almost non-existent. I've been using Vista MCE ever since and it's pretty close to flawless in that department. Have they improved MP much?
