It is there for modern monophonic effect, to get you thinking, from that 1923 radio that you had just bought in "England", to listen to the pathetic closed shop higher echelons warbling shit, as they still do now at most times, self-indulgently. It is there for more artistic content.
Study art, and produce it, if you think less narrow minded than others, and come in from from several sides naturally.
