Massive respect to all Greenpeace volunteers! Hope dove and unilever have changed their evil ways! Am off to Borneo to check out the beautiful rainforest (what's left of it anyway) and find out what can be done to stop future deforestation. There are many other companies who use palm oil though eg. Cadbury, Nestle and EU policy on increasing use of biodiesel (which contains palm oil) needs to be highlighted. We need to raise awareness of all palm oil consumers and kick their backsides! Peace!

I was in Malaysia in 2000 & the destruction of virgin forest & Mangrove swamps is very depressing! They think its a wonderful idea to chop down the forest & plant palm oil & build golf courses. They actually believe it will make ordinary Malaysians 'better off'!? Meanwhile in Indonesia the burning goes on, blamed on a 'few' rogue elements & yet the palm oil trees keep popping up where once there was virgin jungle!
Check out some of the new 'OLIVE' margarines too! FULL of Palm oil!

looool jookes...arrgg i hate companies like unliver they shud know the rainforest is a finite resource that belongs to every creature
well done greenpeace... i attended the campaign, in port sunlight as i live around the corner.. how funny it looked seeing orang-utans it served a very serious point, and u achieved what u set out to do... am sure if the orang-utans knew what u was foinf they would be over-whelmed... i wanted 1 of them orang-utan suites.. any chance??

Thanks for the support busman2007. It does look as though Unilever are going to play ball and use their influence to help end the rainforest destruction caused by new palm oil plantations. We'll be hanging on to the orang-utan cossies until we're certain though - otherwise they may have to go back into action!
