I just heard this from CBC's The Signal Podcast that was posted back on September 29th and I absolutely loved this song and i'm very happy Nicole posted it on youtube ( with video ) and it's a beautiful video ! I would love to hear more of your music and i also think TheSignal program should play more of your songs.

What I love about Nicole's work is that her songs read like a novel set to music. This one reminds me of something one would hear 100 years ago, it's that haunting, yet it is thoroughly modern and unlike any music one hears today. The video is shot beautifully and much like Elvis Costello's "Veronica", could be scenes from a movie, it is that rich and evocative. Reminds me of Verdi in some orchestration parts and Nicole's piano playing always reminds me of a favorite of mine, Robert Schumann.
