I'm pretty sure the 997.1 turbo is alot faster than the M5 from 0-150km/hr.

For anything else to keep up with a Porsche, let alone beat, it has to be tuned much, much higher. Porsche is and will always be the #1 REAL driver's car. For the idiot dumbed down masses, there is a ton of marketing with catchy slogans and hot chicks (but only to look at).
