Established in 1996 to act as the processing and trading facility of people's organizations and mango farmers, Southern Partners and Fair Trade Corporation (SPFTC) acts as the direct link between region's producers and consumers. The organization works to minimize and to eliminate the multi-layered transfer-pricing scheme o middlemen and traders who stand between the producers and the consumers.

SPFTC lives in the principle of workers' participation when they started processing mangoes in 1999. Today, they make certain that their workers are organized and benefits are well provided.

Committed to healthy global environment, SPFTC and partners farmer organizations conduct education and skills development activities for farmer producers on issues such as sustainable agriculture, organic production and chemical free approaches in farming.

As a Corporation undertaking development enterprise, SPFTC shall endeavour to become self-reliant, while supporting people's initiatives and actions. As a Development-oriented organization it shall vigorously complement people's initiatives by engaging in active advocacy efforts, and support to empowerment-building of the people. Its programs and concerns include:
