Call it Socialist, call it what you want but on average we live three years longer in Vancouver than our friends in Seattle, just a two hours drive south. And, we don't pay as much.
In my humble opinion, Americans should fight for their lives to see at least a public option.
Having said all that.... I should probably be writing this under a Glenn Beck video.
Good luck !

Republicans hate "social welfare", but boy do they LOVE Corporate Welfare.
Taxpayers money being spent on things that benefit or serve the taxpayer? The Republicans (and corrupt Dems) say NO.
Taxpayers money being given to corporations to enrich their own wealth and the taxpayer getting NOTHING in return? The Republicans (and corrupt Dems) say YES! YES! MORE!
The hypocrisy is sickening.

Olby is sooooo funny! I just love to hear him rant, he's at his funniest when he does his emo poetry.

If the Dems become anymore bipartisan, the two-party system will be truly dead!

The Public Option is not dead. 3 out of 4 bills being considered still include the public option. Please make your calls. If you need the numbers I have them on my profile. Be sure to check the comment section for petitions and other ways you can get involved. I even have 1-800 numbers for those who don't have long distance. Thank you.

I love that this is finally coming out. Keep hammering this story home, make sure Becky the cry baby hears you.
Republican think a lot of bipartisanship when they are out of power. Funny, I didn't hear them talking about during George W. Bush's first six years. By the way, the government insures banks too. They only oppose insuring poor people.

Hello all !!!
I am a Canadian watching your healthcare debate and I thought I would share my experience.
We have a single payer system in my province for the most part, however, we do have a private option for many different procedures.
How is it paid for? Obviously our taxes, but per capita spending is less than US$3900 annually where as in The States it's closer to US$7300. Why? Because we've cut out the greedy middle man. The insurance company.
