This is a short simulation a made in Blender 3D... (and yes, Blender is free). The bake didn't take that long at all, about one night on a 4Ghz i7, but the rendering of the textured water took well over 3 days. I should really render it with Yafray or something. I made this a couple of year ago actually, but never got around to putting it together, because I kept running out of ram, until my recent upgrade I just couldn't encode it. I imported the actual city from sketch-up ware house and just tweaked it a bit.

Hope you liked it, cause here's a more realistic one:

Or.. here's some extra space with dropbox for free ;)

  • your city needs to be about 100 times bigger because of the size of the water drops

  • is the city made out of diamond?

  • @Mrw0fflez Lol i always get them mixed up

  • looks like a close up of my hair, getting shampooed :D

  • @KFCArbiter *repulsion jel

  • OMG the city is being flooded in propulsion gel!

  • As you can see, this simulation clearly shows massive damage if god was to drop his pot of lube...

  • Ouuch... 3 days bake and render time . . . and your domain box is too small. But change the scale of the water to be really large so that it doesnt look like the city is mini. Make the water smaller in size so you dont have to supersize the city/domain, causing even longer bake/render time

  • @ottopalmerfuog Or you can just change the scale of the water in meters.

  • SPEEEEEERM.

  • thats a funny sea wave.. like you dont expect to see huge blots of giant water shapes floating in mid air just like that surely :)
