Bangladesh please for action on climate change - 06 Oct 2008

In 1995, scientists issued the first Global warming alert, but today, experts say that at least one fifth of Bangladesh will be swallowed up by rising sea levels within 50 years.

Al Jazeera travels to Bangladesh to see the impact of environmental policy where the remainder of the country is expected to follow by the end of the century.

The main reason of carbon dioxide increasing is wars and extensive industrialization. Blame goes to USA and CHINA and all the wars going on around the world, due to them , we the Bangladeshis gotta suffer

@InFN0 Over population creates extreme CO2 maybe you should consider better forms of birth control and hygene instead of polluting the very waters you drink and bathe in. It would be a different story if it were you who were the industrialized country. So blame it on someone else when your own infrastructure needs an overhaul. Well consider this if it wasn't for industialized countries and their R&D into medicines and vaccines you proabaly wouldn't be here to bitch in the first place would you?

and yes there have been times in earths history,such as the cretaceous period when c02 was higher then it is now, but Florida was underwater and a large sea ran through the middle of north America. Human caused climate change isnt a threat cuz life will go extinct. It is a threat because human civilization will be in danger most major cities are located near a coast line.

CO2 in the air means more plants on Earth, so they tie up rain in their bulk = lower seas and more life on Earth!

We aren't far behind them though, and look how many people they have compared to us. We should ALL take some responsibility. Every industrialized nation needs to change a few things, and since we all think we are so special, lets lead the way and quit blaming everybody else. We are all on the same planet after all.

or China which gives off a huge chunk of air pollution and, plans to continue and increase that air pollution.
