Hi Everyone, I just wanted to show my new electric bike I got from Hi-Power Cycles (www.hi-powercycles.com). I bought it for my commute to Cal Lutheren University. It is amazing! I bought the most powerful system from them which is a 72v lifepo4 battery and their high torque striker motor. This thing is amazing! The hill I climb here is a true 20% average grade.

  • I don't understand the hate in here, I can ride my bike 20 miles to work but it takes a long time to get up the long steep hills. So I would love to get an electric motor to help boost my overall speed when I need it. I don't own a car and the bus is $5/day or $60/month. My moped is only $30 month to run.

When I don't have to get to work on time then I'll just ride a normal bike, but I see electric bikes and an alternative to cars and motorcycles/mopeds, not an alternative to pedal bikes.

  • wow. Im impressed. That's a torquey motor!

  • @14ot Cheat?! Are you serious? What do you call a motorcyclist or car driver then? Ebikes are for commuting, or to fill that niche as a low powered lightweight motorcycle for off road fun. Nothing wrong with that. I've raced bicycles since I was little, but the ebike makes a lot more sense for commuting.

  • @JoeVSvolcano I see lots of illegal, dangerous things happen on the roads. Riding a powerful ebike responsibly shouldn't be of concern.

  • Great..... Now people are going to get fat because the have motors on the mountain bikes. What is the world coming to. What ever happend to pedaling your ass up a hill. At least you feel better about yourself knowing you didn't cheat.

  • wow that thing really shifts uphill.

  • Anything over 1000w is illegal to ride on city streets without lights, signals, and a motorcycle license. I sure am glad the police are electrically illiterate.....

  • @SvenskFilm2, looks their 2500w system

  • And I want to know the Watt ??

  • Awesome! I was cracking up when you were peeling out in the parking lot when you turned the electric motor on. Seems like you would really benefit from a "soft start" feature. I wish there was a bike path to work and I'd get one of these, unfortunately our bridges have no bike paths at all.

  • @mrbubetube Hey man, please let us know how your bike is - hope you like it - prec!
