About Fatma Ceren Necipoğlu :
Breaking news : The Turkish passenger on board Air France flight 447 has been identified as 37 year-old Harpist Fatma Ceren Necipoğlu. She was on her way back to Turkey from Brazil where she recently held two recitals at the Fourth Rio Harp Festival. Necipoğlu was an academic at the Eskişehir Anadolu University Conservatory and was one of the most respected harpists from Turkey.
Serla Balkarlı Can, an academic at the university, said Necipoğlu was invited to Rio de Janeiro to give a concert there. "We learned that she got on board the Air France plane to return to Turkey to give final exams to her students. It was very important to give a concert in Brazil. The plane crash is a tragedy. However, we are still hopeful that she is alive," she said.
Fatma Ceren Necipoğlu ( 18 January 1973 - 1 June 2009 ) . Graduated from Deutsche Schule Istanbul, attended conservatories of Istanbul City and Istanbul University for learning Harp , she graduated in 1992 , he studied at the Department of Translation and Interpreting in Bogazici University, received an under-graduate degree in 1997. she went to USA , study at the Department of Harp ın Louisiana State University's School of Music , graduated in
1999 , she enrolled in the Harp Department of Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music, studied under another Turkish harpist, Şirin Pancaroğlu and graduated in 2001.
She released only CD : Ceren Necipoglu : Bir Kitap gibi (As a book) .
John dowland ( 1563 -- 1626 ) , English composer , lutenist and singer , his famous songs : Come again , flow my tears , Can she excused my wrong , i saw my Lady weepe , sung by notable opera singers such as : Sting , andreas scholl , philippe jaroussky only in festival witj Ensemble Fuoco e Sonore , Barbara Bonney , Carolyn Sampson , Alfred deller and James Bowman .
