Nordost Theatre siege in Moscow in 2002. Chechen separatist groups sieged the theatre with the thousand of hostages.
The operation was headed by Barayev, which was later killed in the rescue operation.
Russian authorities used toxic gas that resulted in killing of more than 120 ordinary people.

1) In every terror act Russian Alfa & Vimpel special units did better job then any usa anti terror units. You couldnt even prevent 2 planes crashing in your own back yard killing thausands.

now i live in US myself and I totally understand why people are so upset when they hear that their own country terrorises some other country. i saw my grandfather shot to death by an american mercinary just because he didn't let the terrorist gang station in our town.(after which they did anyways) And just like Benidji said that the americans were involved in there, thats true. All of you are so pissed at ALL the chechens and are giving numbers that show how many "russian troops" have killed in chechnya. Tell ya guys what, those numbers are BS. I am a chechnyan that has imigrated out of chechnya during the second chechen war in the end of the 90s. Most of the civilians that have been allgedley killed by the russian troops, were actually killed by the Islamic extremists. Mostly because the elders of that specific place have refused to support the terrorist activities.
