  • A perfect song! And every star above knows the one I love, sweet Sue, just you!

  • does the sign say there band name is "Dr. Heidegger and the Dynamic Hangovers"??? haha

  • Thanks for putting up this nice old treatment of Sweet Sue. Since I am Russian, wouldn't you specify this video?

  • Very nice, thanks for putting this up! Funny, the MTV attention span existed then, it just wasn't called that. 2:17 song, and they felt the need to cut away from Gene for that??? Have seen that in a film the Boswell sisters were in, had to cut away mid song....grrr!!!

  • Very nice, especially the piano. Thanks for turning me on to Gene Austin.

  • Otto "Coco" Heimel is on tenor guitar and Russell Hall is on bass. This was after bassist Candy Candido went on to become a voice actor for Disney.

  • Austin was a primarily a Victor (RCA) artist, but he did make several sides for ARC (Banner, Oriole, Conqueror )etc... as "Gene Ausstin and His Orchestra" in 1930-31.They swing and are great!!
