In the Cordillera Blanca Huascaran Norte and her sister Sur dominate the skyline only 30 miles south of Huaraz Peru. Standing tall at 6664 meters (21,858 feet) Huascaran Norte is the second tallest mountain in the country. We climbed what we think is a new route up the Northwest Arete. The lower half we joined up with an existing route and then broke away to climb untouched ground in the rock band section. This was a 7 day traverse of the mountain that left us grinning from ear to ear. Check out other guided mountaineering possibilities at www.saltmountaineering.com

Great video!
Which day exactly were you up there? I summited Chopicalqui on June 12th, so probably wasn't far away at the time. I have quite a few photos of Huascaran at those dates if you want.
