48 Hours to Go - 01 - Surfer's Breakfast

An early start at Derrs, but first a healthy breakfast gives Gilesy the energy he needs for this road trip. Snapper and Gilesy get some great waves amongst the early morning crowd at this popular metropolitan beach. It's a fantastic start to what looks like a great day.
Its got surf, girl surfers, a butt, rude words, Jackass style antics (for older guys) great waves, dolphins, cute dogs, Po, two pommy surfers, a bronzed daygo, a skip, disgusting lunch scene, Perth Metro beaches, an old Malibu surfboard that was found on the side of the road, a dark humorous ending and Gilesy!!!! However, it is my favourite perth wave.

I live in Mulalloo and my dad drives me there.

Such an easy drop and can have the best barrel of your life.

Barrels are very rare out here, but some size equals some great long rides.

At 8ft This breaks further out, still has the easy drop and the paddle is easy to make on a shortboard.

Following is an intense barrel.

I concur wholeheartedly SC! its a favourite of mine as well when it cooks. Only beaten in WA by Hole in the Wall at Lancelin. Sometimes Injidup and the artificial reef rate a mention but they dont break very often. Thanks for watching, PS your right its not really in the metro area but in a short time it will be!

But my wave now is Tom's at North Beach.

Me and 3 of My Mates, are the only 4 True tom's locals that are under 18.

Going there this Sunday.

Luv your Barrels vid! I especially like the Indo tube. Have you checked out the insane RHer at Mettams in the last few days. Tubing and going all the way to the beach. Hopefully the sand stays after Sunday's swell. It looks good for everywhere on Sunday arvo and hopefully even Sandtrax and Artificial Reef will be firing. I haven't surfed Toms for a while so I'll keep an eye out for you and maybe bring a camera down. Regards M

i`ve surfed derrs for 18 years.yes it is in metro yes it is the best wave in perth and i have never seen it 8 foot. my 4 foot would probably be your 8.double head is a huge day.
