Soo... this is my first bigger C++ project.^^ (And second bigger project
in general)
Though I got delayed by a lot of stuff like final school exams or the
fact that I stratedt doing some jobbing afterwards, I think I finally
have I can present to the world without dying from embarrassment (btw: It's
a great feeling when a game reaches that stage^^).
So, the game is called "Synchronicity", I have started working on it around
I think 6 months ago and it is a turn-based strategy game.
I finally got most (note: Which means there is still a lot of stuff like sound, etc. missing, but
it works^^) features going, so I thought I could do a little video.
Anyways, as my protagonist models are not finished yet, the video features
a little AI battle :P Basic rules are that attacks from the side and from behind deal extra damage;
attacks from above deal extra damage as well and attacks from a lower
point deal less damage.
Well yeah, there are some bad decisions the AI does within the video,
but most of them are not bugs but just bad parametrization on my part, as
I did not really concern myself with this (yet)^^.
Though, since the game is not designed for AI vs AI combat it's a bit hard
to keep track of the game, but I hope it's bearable.^^ Anyways one team is
noted with a 1 at the end of the name, the other with a 2.
Sadly I did not create any facesets yet, which is why some random pictures
still have to serve as placeholders.
So anyways feedback is encouraged and enjoy the video despite the bad quality.^^
Awesome!!! Great work. I have not made the leap to try programming a 3D game yet. No clue on how I would animate the characters/objects. Sprites and tiles are one thing, 3D models a whole new beast. Once again Kudos on your work.
