Another guy who gets very little respect on these type of lists is Adrian Dantley. The guy scored over 30ppg four years in a row! Unfortunately, he played on some bad teams when he was at his peak, and that hurts him. My list of also-rans would include : Kevin Johnson, Tiny Archibald, Reggie Miller, Dave Bing, Hal Greer, Robert Parish, Pistol Pete, Lenny Wilkens, Sam Jones and James Worthy.

One of the more overrated players on the list is Wes Unseld. Like Rodman, he was a great rebounder and defender. But, also like Rodman, he did very little offensively. Yet, he is consistently ranked very high on these type of lists. He only made All-NBA one time in his career, and was a 5 time A/S. Dave DeBusschere was arguably just as good defensively at the forward position as Wes was at center, and Dave was a better scorer.

If we were to update the list to reflect up to 2011, then certainly Wade makes the list. And possibly two more Celtics, Pierce and Allen. The problem is who do you remove to make room? My vote is to move Iverson to #51. I know he averaged 27ppg, but he shot about 42% from the field. If you take alot of shots, you're going to score. Rodman would need to slide down to #52. One of the greatest rebounders, but only made the A/S team twice. Bellamy also falls of the list.

Thanks to Slam for not including Walton. It bothers me when he is mentioned among the all-time NBA greats. He could have been, had he stayed healthy, but the fact is he was hurt most of the time and had very weak career totals. I can't disagree with the players on the list, although I would certainly add Dirk Nowitski, even when taking into account the list was generated in 2009. To make room, I would remove either Monroe or Iverson. Earl was all-NBA exactly one time in his career.
SLAM Magazine..... that is sad you would every degrade Kareem like that. That is awful. He can EASILY be argued to be the greatest Basketball player of all time. 19 time all star. Finals MVP in 1971 then FOURTEEN years later was the 1985 Finals MVP. 6 MVP. 6 TIME NBA CHAMPION!! ROOKIE OF THE YEAR!!. There is a reason his jersey is retired for the Lakers AND the Bucks.

@Bostonceltics264 Hey man Wade is my favorite player, but they worked as a team to get there. I don't believe LeBron deserves all the hate he's getting.
