Tom kostopoulus tackle on Mike van Ryn, [Original, nasty!]

The brutal tackle took place in the first period of the prestigious meeting of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens. Away Team forward Tom Kostopoulus came in full speed and tackled Mike Van Ryn from behind so badly that he struck in the head in the sarge and sailed down.

It took several minutes before the 29-year-old Van Ryn got his head clear and was directed away from the ice before the audience in a crowded Air Canada Center.

Need accountablity on the ice, players laugh behind visors and instigator rule, let them answer the bell for shots like this and they will happen less. More players hurt now than when fighting was more prevalent. It is so obvious to the fans, the league has to wake up.
