Moorkhtaayen--Diwali,DurgaPuja,GaneshPuja,Bhagwati Jagran,Shobha Yatra Ke Naam Par

On Diwali,we Indians indulge in Gambling,Fire works.We forget that all these are foolish acts.We are increasing pollution.We are invoking Goddess Laxmi--Goddess of Wealth, But on the other hand, we are moving further towards Poverty by gambling and by doing over expenditure on Diwali.
We,Indians submerge idols of Durga and Ganesh in the ponds and rivers on the festival of Durga Puja and Ganesh Puja , forgetting that poisonous paints and chemicals used in these Idols will kill fish and other creatures of these ponds and rivers.
In the name of Bhagwati Jagran, we make the lives of our neighbors a hell on that particular night.
In the name of Religion processions, we disturb the whole traffic system.
We should take care that all these follies which we are
committing in the name of religions and traditions, must be avoided.
We should try our best to make our mother Nature healthier and more beautiful so that it may prove a Heaven for our next generations.But alas we are preparing a Hell for our next generations.We still have time to repair our follies but a very short one.

anuj,I guess U are under reacting.U must be one of them who feel Pollution and Global warming are remote problems,as I have indicated in the video.

If u do not know ,it does not mean that nobody admits that Diwali is for Gambling.I know many PPL who gamble on each Diwali night and win/lose Lacs of Rupees.

The heritage which U call is rich--is very poor in many ways.There is another heritage ---slavery of centuries.

Hope you are not doing it out of some frustrations.

Hello, I read the side bar and I don't really know that much on the subject but here, when we have a sporting event or the dream cruise where people show off their classic cars, we always have traffic clogging here too.

I don't know why people follow all the idols when they can know the one true God and his Son Jesus Christ who he sent.

He didnt say Diwali is for Gambling, All He said was Gambling occus during Diwali and in the name of Prosperity.

Pollution is Another issue He has rasied, and I agree with Him on That.

Though, I am Not against Nimarjan. Environment Friendly Paints from Vegetable Extracts are being used these days.

While Traffic Jam is an issue, it causes Noise Pollution as well as Air Pollution and a lot of discomfort to public.

But, This Criticism should also Apply to The Political Groups who disrup the traffic on a working day.

Dear Friend, some of Your Points are really Good and only an imbicile would oppose them.

You raised valid issues such as : Gambling, Pollution.

That be said, jamming the trafic is not a routine, it does happen only on occassion.

What about the Jamming of traffic by politicos and religious groups who for political demonstration indulge riots?

What about The Loud Speakers for every day , 5 times a day?

Agree on pollution and wasteful expenditure. But something needs to be done to make Diwali entertaining and memorable as well. Maybe you could post another video on your idea of holding on to culture , entertaining people and still not causing pollution and other undesirable things.
