I've never understood why Broon's Bane was removed as the intro to The Trees on the Exit Stage Left vid? It seems like a crazy thing to do. It was one of the many highlights from their shows back then.

Well. They shouldve released their whole set from that night, in my opinion. Live CAMERA EYE?! HEMISPHERES: ARMAGEDDON?!

Broons Bane is just a piece that Alex penned to play as a lead up to the Trees.

I wish I could go back in time and see all these great tours, this one have been a great one to see.

One more example of a song that 'played faster' isn't always better.

@Pictor100 I wondered the same thing. Video cameras in those days were large, shoulder carried pieces of equipment. Most would do video capture only and would have to feed to a separate, but equally large,video tape recorder. I'm thinking this individual might have worked at the venue to get this in and set up. And kudo's to that person!

I'm glad that they edited out the audience on the vinyl itself, I couldn't hear the intro to The Trees in this video.

@bearmare shame on you.

It's amazing how much they changed between the Moving Pictures and Signals tours.

There was no studio version recorded (that I know of). If there was, it hasn't been released. There is, however, a very good quality performance of it on their "Exit Stage Left" live album.
