This is my first bass cover with my new Fender American Deluxe Jazz V Bass but my third cover overall. Watch and let me know what you think.

  • Sickk cover bro! A lot of creative improvisations and fill ins!

If I were to suggest some constructive creatism, maybe be a bit more selective as to where you improvise ^^ But, seeing as this is a cover, you had the liberty to do whatever u want

    Solid cover again! God Bless!!

  • @watchingvidsforfun11 Thanks. I have been working on that as I go along. It's one of the things that is hard to learn and apply because there's so much to do, but less than 4 minutes to do it in.

  • Awesome instrument @Panhead912 Any issues with it, I'm looking to buy one before the end of the year to replace my toneless ibanez, its a toss up between a American Deluxe Jazz Bass V Five String, or a Warwick Thumb.

  • @H4ndleZz There was a little problem with the action, the A string was a bit higher than the others, but that's the only thing, which isn't even a big deal, you get an Allen wrench with it to adjust it. So I would definitely suggest this one. So worth it

  • Oh...

    I'm sorry.( ´△`)

I'm Japanese and I cannot speak English very well.

    -correction-

I want you to play a lot of songs with the bass more.

    Did you understand?

  • @deelighTube oh ya, haha no problem. That's alright. Will do

  • This bass cover is AMAZING!!! Keep up the good work!! You're really talented! :D

  • Great! How much did the bass run you if you dont mind me asking?

  • Let me first start by saying that you got some serious skills...very sweet!...but i would def agree...gotta be more tasteful and more selective with your stuff, especially during verses...you can do alot more stuff as the song builds and gets up...the bridge and following chorus' is where you can def let loose...i play bass similar to you, i'm constantly moving up and down the neck during the song...i'd love if you sent me what you did...uofuman2014@aol.com

  • the only bad part about this video is that theres a dislike bar

  • @watchingvidsforfun11 is correct. Sounds good, but you definitely want to be extremely intentional where and when you place certain parts. Otherwise, you're just running over the entire song for 4 minutes. Might be more fun sometimes, but it doesn't sound very good when playing in a band. Those fills will have a lot more meaning and stand out way more when used sparsely :) Rock on, and God Bless!

  • I am an active bassist myself, and cant stand to just sit on one note (DULL). I think the best active style bassist I've found is the guy that plays with Robbie Seay. Look up his albums and I think you'll find a guy who likes to keep his fingers moving but is POWERFUL and effective with his choice of notes, fills and timing. Keep it up. Youve got the talent and heart it seems to me, just a little restraint and you'll be SOLID

He is Risen (Who can stop HIM?)

  • SWEET BASS! Like 5str version of my geddy lee jazz. Youve given me ideas to further enhance my playing. Patterns are innovative, I can tell you like to compose. If you play live, keep your timing patterns consistent, and go for theme and variation (start simple, add/add/add) and keep the "up the neck" fills to points where the verses/refrain/bridge are free of words. Ive made the mistake of weakening my music by too much "BUSY" and had to back off a bit. But let er fly on the last verse.

  • criticism* wow hahah a bit sleepy lol
