So brother..you're in need of reviewing that word "JESUS" used in Hebrews 4:8..with a Strongs Concordance..The name Jesus there in that verse is not speaking of Jesus Christ..but of Joshua of the OT. the word REST in Heb 3:18 means "settle down..to colonize..to live in. WE as Christians take "rest" from OUR works..in JESUS CHRIST..work being of trying to gain salvation from God..lest WE then begin to boast..Y or N..?

The Sabbath is a day we don't do physical labor, so if you really rest everyday, you are lazy and you should not eat. We believe in marriage, meaning we want to please the one we are espoused to so as John states we love him by keeping HIS command. christian are sensual the want sex (to please themselves) not relationship. 17:38 Hebrews 4:8 is speaking of JOSHUA in the Old Testament..not Jesus Christ..The names Joshua and Jesus are the same name except one is the Greek and the other is the Hebrew. The entire CONTEXT of Hebrews 4 is for us to not make the same mistake that the Israelites did in the OT. They waited on day too late to enter into the promised land. NUMBERS 14:40,43.

16:44 This is incorrect.. The OT LAW was given and it covered EVERYONE. ALL were required to keep the Law..Jew and Gentile alike..and we know that everyone has fallen short of it. So whether you were an Israelite or a Gentile the LAW was commanded to be kept. See EXODUS 12:48,49 and NUMBERS 15:15,16. WE are no longer under the OT Law that is true see GAL 3:23,25 But as GAL 3:10,13 clearly says..the OT Law was required of all mankind to keep.

4:37 through 6:38 You are correct Dowell..Moses for example did not bring ONE Jew out of Egypt..he brought out the Israelites..the Hebrews..but not one Jew..! Because at that time they were never called "Jews" back then. BUT the return of the Jews is prophesy fulfilled..They are NOT Israel..but they are Israelites..

There is no such group called the JUDAIZERS in scripture. The actual problem back then was with the Jerusalem Church members led by James. Acts 2:46,47..Acts 15..and Acts 21:20,24 show the progression of the Jerusalem Church from starting out as something good..to ending up spiritually dead zealous law keepers. Maaking up a group that does not appear in scripture at all...is adding to the word of God.! Saying JUDAIZERS really let's the Jerusalem Church off the hook for what they were.
