was also developed by wernher von braun (an ss commissioned officer) and arthur rudolph, et al.

both of them were recruited by the U.S. during WWII.

@MrThermomanPreacher Given enough time, it may in fact have happened had the war turned out differently, or if it was dragged out a few years longer at a stand-off where the Germans weren't really gaining or losing any ground (so they would have had "free time" to develop industry and technology, not just weaponry). Google 'nazi space program' and you'll get some interesting articles. First one is informative.
