Hello everybody and welcome back. This week there have been some pretty fun stories. Included is the coming release of Duels of the Planeswalkers, some shiny new promo foils, and a few new fantastic ideas for M10. But, I dont care. I havent put that much time into play testing since Regionals 2008 when I top 16ed and even then I played a subpar deck, with a subpar sideboard. This season Im determined to get to at least three of the five PTQs in the tri-state area. This ideas gonna take up a good six or seven episodes, but dont worry the Zendikar speculation and M10 spoilers will still be here this summer. So this week, as suggested by the title well check out the deck you should take. So, lets draw.
*Watch it in High Quality
Editors Note: I realize this is a bad time for the second shortest episode weve ever made, but, dont worry, well make up for it next week.
Well it took a little while but I finally found somebody playing Swans. Right now youre watching a Game 3 situation where I won game 1 and he won game 2. Ive boarded in 3 Naturalize in exchange for Ajanis but it doesnt appear as if hes boarded in anything. I start and keep a hand of 3 lands, a Noble Hierarch, a Naturalize, and two Wilt-Leaf Lieges.
The game starts with me dropping a forest and a Noble Hierarch and saying go. He plays a Spinerock Knoll and passes. I play a Windbrisk Heights, putting the only spell revealed, a Noble Hierarch under it, and, with nothing else to do, pass the turn.
He plays a vivid grove and passes. I play a Plains, and tap all my permanents for a Wilt-Leaf Liege, and say go. He plays a Seismic Assault and passes. I then naturalize the Seismic Assault and swing for 5.
He taps three for another Seismic Assault, but Im relatively confident as Ive set him on a tight clock. He then plays a vivid creek and passes. I play a forest and tap 4 for a Wilt-Leaf Liege, then swing for 7 with one of the Lieges leaving the Hierarchs possible 2 damage up just in case it becomes necessary to Path to Exile something, which, I had a feeling it would be.
He then plays a Cascade Bluffs and a Swans, which I path and to which he has no lands to discard, and with which I win the game. Green White Overrun wins, 2-1.
Why do you tease information about Duels of the Planeswalkers, only to not mention it in the actual show?

your opponent made a HUGE play mistake that made you win. he played a fifth land and then swans, when there was absolutely no need. you had obviously left path mana up, and he could have used his bluffs to possibly draw into the standard win

He realized this afterwards, but, we did check and his next two cards were two cascade spells (can't remember which)

whats w/ only 1 brushland?

It's partially an affodability thing and partially for the fact that all 14 non-basics the original list ran weren't neccessary.
